Cruise Lore
Mystery of the Missing Namesake: C is for Control
Jonathan Coulton was ill for the first few days of the cruise and was quarantined to his cabin. It was believed that he had Covid-19, however it came to light that in his feverish state and with instructions only available in Spanish, he erroneously believed that the bright blue line next to the “C” meant “Covid.” He in fact was negative for Covid-19 and reappeared on the cruise once the symptoms of his illness had subsided.
Gold Team gets Sassy
Typically it is the Red Team who is more exuberant, with much chanting and rowdiness. During the first Gold Team concert this year, however, somebody shouted “Yeah!” and it caught on. Very out of character for the early show, but not nearly as ungovernable as the Red Team late shows, Paul dubbed this behavior “sassy.”
Large Hardon Colada
Many cocktails on the cruise are renamed in a geeky/nerdy fashion. This year, despite multiple people reviewing the copy for errors, a spelling error slipped through and the Large Hadron Colada was listed as the Large Hardon Colada
