The inaugural JoCo Cruise, JoCo Cruise Crazy 1, was a 6-night Western Caribbean cruise that departed on January 2, 2011 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the Holland America Eurodam.
The inaugural cruise was a partial-boat group cruise, sailing with approximately 334 attendees, and 41 performers and staff. The initial name of the cruise, which has since been retired, was a nod to Jonathan Coulton's song Tom Cruise Crazy.

Paul F. Tompkins Memorial Moustache Formal and Feztravaganza
Paul F. Tompkins had originally planned to appear on the first JoCo Cruise, however had to cancel due to work commitments. As a result, a formal party on the cruise was dedicated as a memorial to him. In his honor, everybody was invited to don moustaches and Fezzes. The fez has since fallen out of favor on JoCo Cruise, however you will see many moustaches of all shapes and colors at JoCo formal nights to this day.
Notably, Paul F. Tompkins attended his namesake memorial on JoCo Cruise Crazy 2.
